Clinical Counselling
At The Den Wellness Collective, our counsellors offer individual clinical counselling through a non-pathologizing, whole-person, holistic approach. Rather than focusing on diagnoses or labels, we see each client within the full context of their lived experience — including their history, relationships, nervous system, strengths, and current challenges.
Clinical counselling provides a confidential, supportive space to explore what’s happening in your inner world and your daily life. Through one-on-one sessions, clients are supported in developing a deeper understanding of their thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and relational patterns — with clarity, compassion, and care.
How Individual Counselling Can Help
Individual counselling can support you in:
Managing stress, anxiety, and overwhelm
Navigating life transitions, grief, or burnout
Improving emotional regulation and nervous system resilience
Exploring attachment patterns and relationship dynamics
Building self-awareness, self-trust, and emotional resilience
Developing healthier boundaries and ways of relating to yourself and others
Counselling at The Den is designed to help you slow down, feel more grounded in your body, and move forward with intention and agency, rather than simply coping or pushing through.
Therapeutic Approaches We May Use
Our counsellors draw from a range of evidence-informed therapeutic modalities, thoughtfully integrated and tailored to each individual. Depending on your needs, sessions may incorporate elements of:
Somatic Therapy – working with the body and nervous system to support regulation, safety, and emotional processing
Attachment-Based Therapy – exploring early relational patterns and how they influence current relationships
Trauma-Informed Therapy – creating a sense of safety while gently working with past or ongoing trauma
Cognitive and Emotion-Focused Approaches – increasing awareness of thought patterns, emotional responses, and meaning-making
Mindfulness-Based Practices – supporting present-moment awareness and nervous system regulation
Strengths-Based Counselling – building on existing resilience, resources, and inner capacity
Your therapy is collaborative and adaptive — shaped by what feels most supportive for you, at your pace.
Individual Counselling Only
At this time, The Den Wellness Collective offers individual counselling only. We do not currently provide couples, family, or group therapy.
That said, individual counselling can be a powerful first step in healing relationship challenges. By developing a deeper connection to yourself, counselling can support insight into attachment patterns, communication styles, emotional responses, and relational needs — laying the groundwork for more secure, connected relationships with others.
A Space Designed for Safety and Regulation
As with all services at The Den, counselling takes place in a warm, non-clinical environment, intentionally designed with the nervous system in mind. Healing here is meant to feel grounded, human, and supportive — not rushed or clinical.
If you’re seeking individual counselling in Vancouver that honours the whole person and prioritizes emotional safety, regulation, and self-understanding, counselling at The Den offers a thoughtful place to begin.
