Our space.

We have intentionally designed our space to move away from the traditional clinical environment, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that feels like a safe, nurturing home for healing. Our goal is to provide a comfortable, supportive setting where individuals can relax, recharge, and feel truly cared for.

How it Began.

Two women smiling while holding two dogs, one appears to be a large German Shepherd and the other a small curly-haired dog, in front of a dark floral-patterned background.

In 2022, Kyla and Genieve — two passionate health practitioners and proud members of the LGBTQIA2S+ community — met in Vancouver and bonded over a shared frustration: the lack of accessible, inclusive healthcare, especially in the areas of mental health and holistic wellness. Both trained in trauma-informed care, they envisioned a space where people of all identities, backgrounds, and income levels could feel seen, supported, and empowered to heal.

Two years later, they brought that vision to life. In the heart of Vancouver’s Fairview neighborhood, they transformed a heritage building at 1151 West 8th Avenue into The Den Wellness Collective — a non-clinical sanctuary offering osteopathy, acupuncture, mental health support, and a range of integrative healing services. As they stepped into the space for the first time, a vibrant rainbow appeared overhead — a clear sign they were on the right path.

Today, The Den is more than a clinic — it’s a community. Rooted in trauma-informed care, mental wellness, and collaborative healing, Kyla and Genieve have created a space where clients feel safe, heard, and genuinely cared for — whether they’re seeking physical support, emotional balance, or simply a place to feel at home.

Our Values.

  • The interconnectedness of the body, mind, spirit, and influencing external factors are at the forefront of our work. We are committed to comprehensive care that nurtures all aspects of wellbeing.
